About the EA Exam
Q: What is an Enrolled Agent (EA)?
A: An Enrolled Agent is a tax professional licensed by the IRS — the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. It is the highest tax credential awarded by the IRS and allows you to represent taxpayers before the IRS for audits, collections and appeals.
Q: What is the EA exam?
A: The EA exam is called the Special Enrollment Examination (SEE). It has 3 parts — Part 1 (Individuals), Part 2 (Businesses) and Part 3 (Representation, Practices & Procedures). You need to pass all 3 parts to become an EA.
Q: Is there any eligibility requirement to appear for the EA exam?
A: No. There is no educational qualification or work experience required to appear for the EA exam. Anyone can register and attempt the exam.
Q: Where is the EA exam conducted in India?
A: From July 2026 onwards, the EA exam is administered by PSI (replacing Prometric). Indian candidates can appear at PSI test centres across India. Additionally the IRS is introducing remote online proctoring from 2026 — meaning you may be able to appear for the exam from the comfort of your home without travelling to a test centre. Note: Exam registrations with PSI open from May 1, 2026 and testing begins July 1, 2026. Check the official IRS Enrolled Agent page for the latest updates on PSI test centre locations in India.
Q: How many questions are in each EA exam part?
A: Each part has 100 MCQ questions. You get 3.5 hours to complete each part.
Q: What is the passing score for the EA exam?
A: The passing score is 105 out of 130 scaled points. The exam uses a scaled scoring system.
Q: How long is the EA credential valid?
A: Once you pass all 3 parts and register with the IRS, your EA credential is valid for 3 years and renewable through continuing education.

A: No. Our courses are designed for complete beginners. We start from the basics and take you to exam-ready level in 3 months.
Q: What does each course include?
A: Each course includes live + recorded video lectures, topic-wise MCQ practice questions, comprehensive study notes and weekly doubt clearing sessions with Jay.
Q: Are the classes live or recorded?
A: Both. You get access to live classes for real-time interaction and doubt solving, plus recorded sessions so you can revise anytime at your own pace.
Q: How long is each course?
A: Each paper course is 3 months long. If you enroll in all 3 papers the total duration is 9 months.
Q: Can I take all 3 papers together?
A: We recommend taking one paper at a time for better focus and understanding. However you can enroll in multiple papers based on your availability and study capacity.
Q: What is the fee for each course?
A: The fee is Rs. 7,300 per paper inclusive of GST. All 3 papers together comes to Rs. 21,900 inclusive of GST.

A: As an EA you can work as a U.S. Tax Consultant, Tax Associate, Tax Analyst, IRS Authorized Representative or Remote U.S. Tax Professional with CPA firms and global accounting firms.
Q: Can I work remotely as an EA from India?
A: Yes. The EA credential is globally recognized and many Indian professionals work remotely for U.S. CPA firms, accounting firms and tax companies from India.
Q: I am a fresher — can I still pursue this course?
A: Absolutely. Many of our 1000+ students started with zero U.S. tax knowledge. Our course is structured specifically to help freshers build a strong foundation from scratch.
Q: Is EA better than CPA for Indians?
A: Both are valuable U.S. tax credentials. EA is fully focused on taxation and has no educational eligibility requirement making it more accessible for Indians. CPA covers broader accounting and requires specific educational qualifications.
